Welcome: Why a Journal?

Dad has always had a way with teaching. My brother and I have countless memories of learning of the goose migration, the conservation management of the many generations of forest, moral mushroom picking strategy, or giving meticulous detail when molding wood into something useful and beautiful.

He  is armed with an incredibly interesting business and story. And at one time he was writing for an outdoors’ periodical, a trade that had always given him the most enjoyment.

This is why we helped him create this blog. A place for you to get to know the craftsman making the traditional sleds, while learning and being reminded of slowing down and appreciating our natural surroundings.
