How To Install Snowshoe Bindings

It's not just the right pair of snowshoes that make for a great snowshoeing experience. It's also about the bindings.

For snowshoe enthusiasts, the bindings on their snowshoes make all the difference between a good experience and a great one.

Like other shoes, wooden snowshoes need to be bound firmly to your feet to stay on securely. If there isn't enough tension, bindings will fit poorly. Aside from being uncomfortable and clumsy, they can slide around, slip off and cause injury.

Each type of snowshoe binding must be installed differently, so there's no one-size-fits-all solution. At Northern Toboggan, we sell different types of bindings for you to choose from for fit and use preference.

Lampwick Bindings

Lampwick bindings require the most setup on each use, lacing the binding through the snowshoe to create a loop to hold your foot in place.
