Cherished Meals for Snowy Days
Cherished Meals for Snowy Days
There's nothing quite like sharing a hot meal with loved ones after a day of adventuring in the snow. Stews and Soups are what come into our household right as it gets cold in late fall. Venison, fish, pheasant and duck are the meats of choice and are paired with frozen and canned veggies from our garden. Here are some of our favorite wintertime meals you can enjoy together after a day in the cold.

Pheasant Stew is perfect for warming up after a long day of snowy sports. It's hearty, filling, and packed nutritious goodness. This can also be made with chicken, but we find nothing beats the comfort of pheasant.
Smoked Duck Soup

Another classic around the Harren house - slow-cooked duck soup. Add rice or a grain of your choice, mushrooms, and greens for a delicious home-cooked meal. Smoked duck isn’t required, but gives some great extra flavor!
